Another one of my old characters. From the same universe as Girl. Simon Mann was a chubby, stupid, run-of-the-mill bank robber until one day he robbed a bank that belonged to the Corporation for Advanced Research and Engineering. This caught the attention of CARE's eccentric and incredibly evil CEO, and when Simon was caught, he was kidnapped from police custody and taken to one of CARE's underground 'black labs' to become a science experiment. CARE had developed a machine that could chemically increase the hardness of human skin to the point of diamond-like invulnerability. After almost a year of physically conditioning Simon into the super-jacked, nearly perfect human specimen (codenamed Designate One, which is the meaning of that roman numeral on his shoulder), they began the transformation. The experiment didn't work as expected. Simon broke free of the restraints holding him down in the middle of the painful transformation. His skin had responded to the process, but only partially. It wasn't diamond-hard, but it was significantly tougher, bullet-resistant and less vulnerable to fire and electricity, although it wasn't as flexible as normal human skin anymore. Another way the process had gone wrong was that it didn't harden all of Simon's skin. The patches of almost-human-colored skin on his face, arms, and chest are places where his skin was left closer to normal. The rest of his body took on a silver color. Simon destroyed the machine, escaped CARE, and went right back to robbing banks. The police could no longer stop him due to his new superpowers, and the media, assuming Simon Mann to be dead or long gone, referred to this new super-villain as 'The Silver Bank Robber.' Simon came to appreciate the infamy. He shortened the media's nickname and started referring to himself as simply 'Silver.'
Silver wasn't the main antagonist in my stories. He was more of a recurring side-villain that Girl and the protagonists fought in between battles with the CEO of CARE. In one of my later stories (the second semester of eighth grade), he finds himself in an epic season-finale type battle between the protagonists and the CEO, and he loses most of the right side of his body after a chemical explosion melts through his super-skin. After the battle, CARE takes him back, builds his remains into a cyborg body, and programs him to become the CEO's bodyguard. So this picture would be Simon after the Experiment and before the Accident.
Drawing this was fun. I'm so used to drawing women that I almost forgot I could even do this . This was my first time making washboard abs in Ps and CP11. The texture of the metal skin was easy to figure out and I think it adds an awesome subtle touch.
